The palate has a gorgeously creamy, smooth texture, like melting, ripe red-apple flesh, that is outlined by the soaring purity of citrus oil. Calm, cool, and collected with a label soothing to the eyes in mint-green. Discreetly aromatic with lime leaf, elderflower, ginger, almond, and fennel on the nose. Zesty but balanced with gentle lees and flavours of cucumber, white tea and mineral that mark the palate. Features a pleasant texture and notable persistence. Enjoy now or hold another 2-3 years. This is a very fragrant riesling with classic honey, beeswax, linden blossom, a hint of petrol and flint from the stony soils of the Kamptal in the upper Danube. It is medium weight and quite rich and smooth, yet there is a great seam of acidity and minerality. Almost spritzed, with some bitterness on the finish. Excellent length and great value.
