González Byass's history of crafting vermouth dates all the way back to 1884. This sweet white version can be savoured over ice with soda, in your favourite cocktail, or simply on the rocks at the conclusion of a fine meal.
The 2018 Gran Reserva Beronia was aged for 28 months in barrels. Oak-driven aromatics - cedar, vanilla, black fruit - drive the nose, with soft camphor and blackberry in the background. Dry, with fine tannins and juicy flow, the palate is smooth and well balanced. The 2018 is a polished crowd-pleaser. Drinking window: 2025-2040. Score - 93. (JoaquÃn Hidalgo, vinous.com, May 22, 2025)
