The Roger family first began expressing the refinement and quality of their terroir in the 17th century. The Cuvée Genèse comes from one of the most famous vineyards in the village of Bué: the limestone-rich Le Grand Chemarin. The wine offers classic fresh-cut grass notes alongside white flowers, citrus, ripe fruit, and a finessed minerality. It will drink through 2030, with the potential to go longer.
100% Sauvignon Blanc. A delectable evolution for the senses with lime marmalade, fine herbals and savoury nut characters on the nose and a lush acidity and sumptuously textured palate. Long and impressive. Score - 96. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2024)
A ripe wine, concentrated from the lees aging, this has a light edge and refreshing acidity. It is bright and tangy, with the citrus flavors and white fruits in harmony. Drink now [through 2026+]. Score - 90. (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, April 1, 2023)
100% Sauvignon Blanc. Opulent baked apple and yellow plum aromatics with a rich, crème pâtissière texture and a racy acidity; intriguing and long. Score - 91. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2023)
This Pinot Noir-based rosé is sourced from flinty soils and offers a buoyant, quite elegant experience. There's plenty of lifted fruit, with strawberry and red berry prominently featured along with Sancerre's unmistakable mineral character. An exuberant rosé that will evolve for another two years but is calling out to be enjoyed tonight with grilled shrimp, salmon, or a charcuterie board.
Half of the fermentation and aging of this wine was in wood, giving warmth and richness to the red cherry fruits and gentle tannins. The wine is worth aging over the medium term. Drink from 2024. Score - 89. (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, April 1, 2023)
The conditions and soils that give rise to this region's renowned Sauvignon Blanc wines are also ideal for obtaining elegant Pinot Noir. This floral, intense wine shows sour cherry, red plum, earth and spice. It's really hitting its stride and will continue to evolve for another 3-4 years, if not a touch more.
