A food-friendly, great-value Chardonnay from one of Ontario's most lauded wineries. Generous ripe pear, herbs, spice, fresh fig and cantaloupe, all nicely supported by balanced acidity. Will match everything from chicken Caesar salad to grilled crab.
Clean and fresh on the nose, this is precisely rendered, sound and chiselled icewine, comfortable and stress free. Flavours resemble apricot and quince jam, with wonderfully sapid and saliva-inducing, almost saline character, saltwater toffee and crème brulée. It's very sweet to be sure, but not heavy thanks to vibrant acids. Length is excellent. Drink or hold into the early '30s, or beyond - the landing strip will be long. Tasted March 2025. Score - 94. A bright ruby colour this Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine possesses intense aromas of mulberry, strawberry jam and gooseberry fruit. Rich, sweet and luscious on the palate with good fruit and balance on the lengthy finish. Enjoy with a berry-topped crème brulée.
Chardonnay Icewine is not exactly typical so it is worth a try and this version happens to be a real stunner. Impressive depth with notes of beeswax and honey. Great progression and persistency of flavours on the palate. Sweetness is perfectly balanced with fresh acidity. A small bottle that is worth every $2 drop. Score - 94. (Sara d'Amato, winealign.com, June 16, 2016)
Simple, juicy, lactic, leesy, yogurty and free. Welcome to Canadian chardonnay as Chablis done with nothing but easy drinking and freedom in mind. Treads that fine line between clean and leesy but yes, this goes properly and adroitly for the wine. Drink date: 2025-2029. Tasted blind at NWACs, June 2025. Score - 91. (Michael Godel, winealign.com)
Floral, with lime, lemon, nectarine and mineral notes. Complex and pure, with excellent weight and texture. A precise, exquisite Ontario Riesling. Great with spicy Asian foods.
This wine is usually released through our Cellar Collection. The Cherry Avenue Vineyard comprises three blocks named for the children of Moray and Joanne Tawse. The Pinot Noir is sourced from Robyn's Block (planted in 2002 and 2005) and David's Block (planted in 2005). It offers cherry, wood spice, earth, and dried herbal notes and will drink through 2032+.
From the cool, humid 2021 vintage, this fresh, elegant Gamay has broad cranberry, blackberry, earth, mineral and spice tones. It's food-friendly, balanced, and capable of drinking through 2025. The producer suggests pairing it with charcuterie, or flatbread with cherry tomatoes and feta.
From vines planted in 1998 in a mixture of limestone and clay soils, this Chardonnay is barrel fermented with indigenous yeast. It features fresh green apple, pear, and flinty mineral. Balanced, long and rich, this will drink well through 2025+. Serve with a vegetable quiche or grilled salmon.
