This is a spicy, intense wine, with energetic aromas and flavours. It's structured and textured, showing brightly articulated rose, lychee, yellow pear, honeydew melon and nutmeg notes. Mouthfilling and long, it will be ideal for Thai food.
Petrol, stony honey and apricot. Somewhat dry attack but a syrupy, unctuous texture; leading to an exotic, spicy finish. Lovely! Score - 95. (International Wine Challenge, 2018)
Exuberant lychee, rose petal and clove spice aromas with a juicy, supple palate and a white pepper twist. Score - 93. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2023)
This wine comes from 30-year-old vines planted in granitic limestone, chalk and clay soils. It offers classic notes of lychee, rosewater and grapefruit, with spicy accents. This vintage also brings some tropical fruit to the table. Try it with sweet-and-sour fish, or tofu wrapped in seaweed. Enjoy through 2028.[Concours Général Paris did not include a tasting note.] Score - Gold. (Concours Général Paris, 2024)
Well-integrated and polished, this delivers apple, peach and quince flavors on a pleasant, balanced frame. Mouthwatering acidity emerges on the moderate finish. Score - 89. (Aleks Zecevic, Wine Enthusiast, Nov. 1, 2024)
This wine comes from 35-year-old vines planted in limestone-rich soils. It's spicy and ripe, with apple, pear, grapefruit, lemon, and a shapely mineral note on the close. The subtle suggestion of sweetness is well-integrated and the balance pristine. Pair with mildly spiced chicken or spicy roasted cauliflower. This will drink through 2026+.
