The 2019 Syrah Boya from the Leyda Valley was aged for 16 months in neutral oak. Purple in the glass, with a nose of blackberry, hints of pepper and gentle camphor aromas over an attractive, delicate bed of flesh, it's terse and fresh in the mouth, making for a bracing, flavorful red. Drinking window: 2022-2031 Score - 92. (JoaquÃn Hidalgo, vinous.com, June 2022)
This bright, vivacious wine is sourced from vineyards situated 14 kilometres from the Pacific and is made in stainless steel. It shows generous lime, gooseberry, yellow plum and exotic tropical fruit, with an underpinning savoury herbal tone. It's juicy and fresh, with bracing acidity and a saline minerality.
