From vines planted in 1920 by Hippolyte Seguin and 1950 by Pierre Seguin. Powerful and dense yet elegant and racy. Black fruit and spices, with a harmonious palate and a long, luxurious finish.
Beautiful ruby-red colour, with quite an intense nose of red fruit. On the palate, that sensation is subtly present, along with a light vanilla flavour from the barrel.
Most of the vines from which this wine was sourced are 90+ years old. It's lively, with complex layers of fruit, licorice and violets. Finessed and complex with a delicate, persistent finish.
With a beautiful garnet colour, this wine is balanced and mineral, with a wonderful, fine, supple fruitiness. Will start to show its full complexity in 2027 or 2028.
