Opulent and gorgeously complex, the perfumed bouquet shows dark fruit richness, cake spice, toasty oak and dark chocolate characters, leading to a concentrated palate offering excellent depth and plush texture. Tannins are polished and beautifully infused, making it velvety and deliciously appealing. At its best: now to 2037. Score - 94. (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, Sept. 2024)
A bold, generous GSM that demonstrates the undeniable certainty of dark fruit, red berry, pepper, oak spice and brambly earth that has made the Barossa so immensely popular. A balanced, poised, powerful wine with lifted floral and lithe mint tones. Drink this through 2028+ alongside mushroom burgers, ribs, or rosemary herbed chicken.[Melbourne International Wine Competition did not include a tasting note.] Score - 96. (Melbourne International Wine Competition, 2025)
Inky hued, this is a densely packed Cab with concentrated black and red berry fruit, licorice, cedar and winter warming spice behind. It's as rich and mouth-filling on the palate as the color and aromas suggest, but with a lovely lift of tangy acidity to balance chiseled, powerful tannins. Best Buy. Score - 91.
