This Peloponnesian white is made with 85% Roditis and 15% Sauvignon Blanc grapes that are fermented in stainless steel tanks. Clear pale yellow colour. It pours with aromas of citrus fruit that continue on the palate with a crisp and fruity mouthfeel. Enjoy it chilled on its own, with meze or paired with grilled seafood.
Made from 100% Moschofilero, this lively, fragrant wine has notes of peach blossom and citrus zest backed by soft acidity, all culminating in a dry finish. Quite food-friendly, it'll go nicely with seafood or salads, and makes a fine sipper besides.
Made from estate-grown Syrah grapes, this wine is matured in French oak barrels for at least 2 years and in bottle for another 2 years. Generous aromas of blackberries, dried flowers and black pepper greet the nose with hints of leather and smokiness following through to the full-bodied and well-rounded palate.
To craft this wine, Agiorgitiko grapes undergo malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, yielding notes of red fruit with hints of lavender and creamy butter. The palate is soft and fruity with velvety tannins. It pairs well with pasta and braised beef in a tomato sauce, as well as roasted chicken and potatoes.
Cavino's 'Historoots' line is a celebration of classic Greek varieties made in a modern style. This Assyrtiko was fermented in stainless steel and aged for two months on the lees. It shows white floral tones, citrus fruit, and a refined saline character. Very well-made and balanced, with bright acidity and a long finish. Pair with seafood or salads.
This wine is a blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrodaphne with 20% Agiorgitiko. Vinified separately and aged for eight months in new oak, the varieties produce a complex, layered, ripe wine with generous fruit, chocolate, mixed spices, vanilla and coconut. This balanced, lush wine has the structure for grilled fare. Enjoy it through 2028+.
This blend of Mavrodaphne and Mavro Kalavrytino is aged in French and American oak for a minimum of 20 months. Complex aromas and flavours reveal mature berry fruit with herbal, white pepper and chocolate notes. It is medium to full-bodied with moderate tannins and a spicy, long finish. Pair with lamb or prime rib steak.
Cuvee lll is made with 60% Malagouzia, 20% Assyrtiko and 20% Chardonnay. The bouquet has floral aromas with fresh basil, nectarine and hints of coconut and orange. The palate is fresh with good acidity and fruit with light notes of vanilla, a harmonic balance complimented by oak aging. Pair with white meat and pasta.
The Mega Spileo Monastery has been used for worship and grape-growing since the fourth century CE, making it one of the oldest monasteries in the world and a cultural icon to Greece. The estate began producing modern wine thanks to the revitalization efforts of the Anastasiou brothers in 1999 and now produces high-quality wines made from Greek and international grapes.
