The cabernet sauvignon character comes through nicely in this red, particularly on the palate, with currants, both red and black, as well as dried flowers and cedar. Some lead pencil as well. Medium body, with polish, finesse and beauty. Lovely length and grace. This is a move towards better balance and energy for Orma. One to watch. A blend of mostly merlot with cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Best after 2026, but already a very attractive young wine. Score - 97. (jamessuckling.com, Aug. 12, 2024)

This third-generation family producer first crafted this Bolgheri gem in 2015. It's a ripe, rich, easy-to-enjoy Merlot-led Bordeaux blend. There's good weight and character here, with plenty of boldly outlined red and dark fruit, plum, cassis, tobacco and coffee notes all accomplished without sacrificing balance or elegance. Pair this wine with a classic meaty pasta or a vegetarian ragù.
