This is a Cabernet Franc-led wine, with Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot rounding out the blend. It was aged in a combination of French and American oak and is an aromatic, fruity wine, with cherry, plum, vanilla, and a dash of baking spice.
This dessert wine offers sweetness without the overt richness found in Icewine. It's wonderfully complex, with honey, peach, tangerine, lychee, apple and apricot notes. Try this lovely wine with a vanilla custard cake or a caramel tart. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2018)
This is an unusual, creative blend of acacia wood barreled riesling, skin fermented gewurz, chardonnay and sauvignon. It works very well, with intriguing complexity thanks to bits of each variety playing a role. There is riesling apple, well placed wood spice, sauvignon herbaceosness and considerable citrus. It is medium-full bodied, just off-dry but nicely offset by some acidity, spice and grip on the finish. There is some bitterness in the end - the length is very good to excellent. Score - 89. This charming pink sparkler is from Lundy Manor, which is the only estate winery in Niagara Falls. An eclectic blend of Gamay with Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, it's vibrant and floral with suggestions of fruit salad, a touch of grated ginger, and a subtle kiss of sweetness. Perfect with sushi, spring rolls or roasted root veggies.
