This Sylvaner is crisp and quietly aromatic, with green apple, lemon, lime and white peach over hay, quince and a light mineral streak. The palate stays refreshing, sometimes slightly waxy or off-dry in impression, and works best well chilled with fondue, gnocchi or grilled fish.
A ripe, juicy sparkler with delicately and precisely defined apple, pear and yellow plum. There's a shortbread undertone and some tropical, honeyed notes on the fringes.
Clean Alsace Pinot Blanc with green apple, pear, lemon, grapefruit and white flowers on a light, refreshing frame. A subtle oily texture and mineral snap give it more substance than expected, making it versatile with seafood, soft cheeses or mildly spicy dishes.
Sourced from vines grown in clay and limestone soils, this wine has excellent weight and is wonderfully honeyed, with suggestions of apricot and spice. Try it with pork chops or a creamy vegetarian pasta primavera. Drink through 2026.[Grand Concours des Vins d'Alsace did not include a tasting note.] Score - Gold. (Grand Concours des Vins d'Alsace, 2024)
From the ever-popular Joseph Cattin, this wine offers classic lychee, rosewater, nutmeg and floral notes accented by white pepper. It's richly textured, crisp, fresh, long, and perfectly balanced, with good weight and presence. Enjoy it with ham.[Concours International de Lyon did not include a tasting note.] Score - Gold. (Translated from the French) Pale yellow colour with green highlights. Distinctive nose combining notes of lychee and Szechuan pepper, very appealing. The palate offers a tense, aromatic attack leading to a fine structure. A pleasant wine to enjoy with raw fish. Score - Gold. (gilbertgaillard.com, 2025)
