Lots of dried flowers here give a perfumed nature to it with berries and citrus. Hibiscus water, too. Full-bodied and chewy with lots of tannins and vivid acidity. Subtle plum and strawberry character. Muscular and formed. This needs time. Try after 2028 [and into the mid-2040s]. Score - 97. (jamessuckling.com, July 28, 2023)
Iris, rose, botanical herb and dark spice aromas lead the way in this fragrant red, along with an enticing whiff of graphite. Elegantly structured and boasting youthful tension, the vibrant palate delivers juicy Morello cherry, crushed raspberry, cinnamon and star anise framed in taut, refined tannins. It's balanced and focused, with bright acidity. Drink 2024-2036. Editors' Choice. Score - 97. (Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast, Sept. 1, 2020)
Assertive aromas of graphite, violets, mint and chalky minerality. A stunning, precise wine focused on elegance, with citrus flavors, a full body and lavish, velvety tannins supported by freshness. Long, youthful and savory aftertaste. Try from 2026, but best after 2030. Score - 97. (jamessuckling.com, Jan. 11, 2025)
Pouring a bright transparent red hue, the 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo Ochetti is attractive and expressive on the nose, with pure notes of wild strawberries, fresh flowers, dusty earth, and fresh herbs. The palate is also nicely detailed, with refreshing acidity, fine tannins, and a citrus-noted finish. A very nicely styled Langhe Nebbiolo, it should hold up well over the next 4-5 years. Maturity: 2025-2030. Score - 90. (Audrey Frick, jebdunnuck.com, May 1, 2025)
