Attractively fruited and delightfully appealing with blackberry, violet, roasted nut and subtle spice aromas on the nose, followed by a flavoursome palate that's succulent and lingering. Tannins are fine and well integrated, making the wine structured and harmonious. At its best: now to 2030. Score - 92. (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, July 2023)
The Jip Jip Rocks is always a big, bombastic, plush Shiraz with concentrated blackberry, spice, wood, smoke, chocolate and vanilla. It's an opulent yet elegant and finessed wine, and all at a shockingly impressive price. Pair with roast beef or grilled steak.[Melbourne International Wine Competition did not include a tasting note.] Score - 94. (Melbourne International Wine Competition, 2023)
