55% Carmenère, 30% Petit Verdot, 15% Syrah. Opulent and plush, with layers of spiced, syrupy dark fruit aromas, lush and vibrant on the palate, with a bold fruit core. Score - 92. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2019)
The oaky aromas are stronger than the fruit in this chardonnay, but what underlies it all is a layer of white fruits and floral tones in a warm wine with good acidity and an herbal finish that gradually shows more and more fruity flavors. There should be more whites in the Maipo Alto, a zone that has focused on cabernet sauvignon - with plenty of arguments and examples - although chardonnay is a good contribution. Score - 91.
