Pale ruby; upfront red fruit, herb and vanilla aromas; dry, light to medium-bodied with balanced tannin and acidity; flavours of red fruit, herbs, vanilla and spice carry into the medium long finish.
Ontario Baco Noir produces rich and rustically charming red wines. Konzelmann's Lakefront Series Baco Noir is a dense and ripe wine with intense flavours of cassis, blueberry and fig, complemented by hints of maple-smoked bacon. It is a perfect match for barbecue fare or hearty stews.
This rosé shows lifted red floral tones, with flavours of citrus, watermelon, and exotic tropical fruit such as papaya. Chill and sip, or serve with summer salads with chopped fruit.
Niagara's 2020 vintage was one of the most exciting in years and the wines continue to shine, particularly the Bordeaux blends. This Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc has ample blackcurrant, plum, red and dark fruit, and a gorgeous underlying savoury herbal quality. Drink through 2028+.
This 50/50 Merlot/Shiraz blend was first made by Herbert Konzelmann in 2018 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the winery's first Niagara vintage and could stand as the dictionary definition of 'better late than never!' Fermented in stainless steel to preserve the most delicate, nuanced fruit, it offers plum, blackcurrant, dark berry, earth, and mixed spices and remains a celebration of cool-climate winemaking.
Along with the Legion Cabernet Sauvignon (47635), this wine is a partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command, with proceeds from each bottle sold donated to two legion support programs: Homeless Veterans Assistance and Operation Service Dogs. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, it's vibrant, lively and fresh, with sharply defined peach, apple, citrus and mineral notes. Pair with grilled freshwater fish or a vegetable stir-fry.
An aromatic, ripe, richly textured wine, with rosewater, lychee, lemon, honey and ginger. This vibrant, precise Niagara Gewürztraminer hits all the marks. Riding on the cusp of dry and off-dry, it's perfect for pairing with spicy Asian dishes and will drink through 2033.
This is a snappy, bright Niagara Riesling with characterful crispness and notes of apple, citrus and mineral. The residual sugar gives it a slightly off-dry flavour, which is perfectly balanced by the sharpness and purity of the acidity.
