This vibrant, fresh Grillo is sourced from vines averaging 20 years of age grown in calcareous soils. Vinified in stainless steel, it has a weighty texture and character, with citrus, gentle suggestions of savory and garden herbs, a touch of almond, and a fine saline minerality. It will pair well with grilled seafood, summer salads, and veggie skewers.
Plenty of crushed mulberry and blackberry aromas with hints of fresh herbs. Medium bodied with medium, round tannins and a delicious finish. Iron-like undertones. Shows a nice balance of light tannins and freshness, as in recent vintages. Drink and enjoy. Score - 91. (jamessuckling.com, Aug. 17, 2022)
