Needs air to bring out the intense, bright red berries with some dates and spicy, meaty notes. Full-bodied with a tight but forward-driven palate, spurred along by clean acidity and firm, fine tannins. It's all there, but needs time to mellow out. Try from 2023 [into early 2030s]. Score - 93. (jamessuckling.com, Oct. 22, 2021)
This single vineyard Amarone, grown on limestone high in the hills of Valpolicella, represents the depth and beauty of this place and the production method for making Amarone. The wine is at once intense but also lifted and lithe in some respects. Dense and concentrated aromas of black plum, sweet dates and licorice present themselves immediately, but over time floral and exotic spice notes emerge to give balance. Herbal flavors run alongside the dense core of dark fruits, bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Luscious with fine tannins and the acidity needed for a wine of its density, this is a stunner. Drink 2025-2040. Cellar Selection. Score - 96. (Jeff Porter, Wine Enthusiast, Sept. 1, 2023)

From the historic Tommasi, two expressive takes on signature styles.
This small format of an Italian classic makes the perfect stocking stuffer or the ideal choice for an intimate holiday dinner.
Very beautiful aromas of dried fruits, with hints of flowers and spices such as closes and dried lavender. Full body, with very fine tannins and a long and beautiful finish. It goes on and on. Similar to 2007. So drinkable now. Score - 92. (jamessuckling.com, June 6, 2013)
This feast-friendly magnum makes sharing Amarone's legendary dark fruit, mocha and spice all that much easier. A classic expression of a classic style.
Amarone is a great crowd favourite and ideal for holiday dinners. This one comes from the historic Tommasi family, who are masters of this celebrated style. The wine features dried flowers, prune, licorice, chocolare and herbs, with polished tannins. Pair with braised meats, pasta or dark chocolate.
Two vintages of a classic wine from Casisano. One for celebrating tonight and one for celebrating holidays yet to come.

The palate is attractively fresh and effervescent, with notes of wild strawberries and generous acidity. Enjoy it as an aperitif or pair it with shellfish.
