The 2022 Nero d'Avola Vualá impresses with its lively character and vividly ripe red and black fruits. Crushed blueberries and blackberries mingle with citrus zest and sage. The texture is soft and round, yet the wine remains surprisingly fresh and lifted, with a core of wild berries that slowly saturates. The 2022 leaves the palate reeling as a bump of residual acidity and a hint of sour lemon lingers. Drinking window: 2025-2028. Score - 91. (Eric Guido, vinous.com, July 1, 2025)
The distinctive design of each Caruso & Minini label is the result of a collaboration between the winery and the Zanzara Lab, which is an NGO based in Turin that promotes the social inclusion of people with disabilities. Made from Frappato grapes harvested by hand on a hinterland hillside in western Sicily, this effortlessly elegant pink wine delivers bright strawberry and cherry fruit.
Expressive and distinctive, with blood orange peel, raspberry, peach skin, thyme and spice box aromas and flavors set on a chalky texture. This is brightly golden in hue, with a clean-cut, minerally finish. Catarratto. Drink now through 2030. Score - 90. (Alison Napjus, winespectator.com, Dec. 31, 2025)
