Restrained yet intense wine. The nose is fresh with red cherries and pomegranates, integrated violets and a rose-water touch, as well as a vibrant, schist undertone. Full-bodied and graceful, with super elegant tannins, juicy acidity and a long, tense finish. Drinkable now, but best after 2025. Score - 95. (jamessuckling.com, Sept. 25, 2024)
Extremely aromatic with prune, Christmas pudding, floral and dried cherry character. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. A red with wonderful depth and length. Very structured. Shows the unique character of the 2010 vintage for Brunello. Needs five to six years to soften, but amazing structure. [Drink into late 2030s and perhaps early 2040s.] Score - 97.
