The100% Nebbiolo Tradizione is sourced from select vineyards in Barolo, Monforte, Castiglione Falletto and La Morra. Intense hibiscus, cornelian cherry, leather with smoke and a lifted minty complexity. It can be enjoyed tonight with braised beef dishes or firm cheeses.
Medium red, the 2019 Barolo Del Comune Di Barolo takes on a more pure fruit profile, with aromas of raspberry liqueur, sweet sage, pressed roses, and sweet soil. It's a lovely medium-bodied wine, with a floral touch that floats across the palate along with evenly balanced, refreshing acidity, fine, ripe tannins, and a clean, tapered finish. This very charming wine is hard to resist now, but it will mature slowly over the next 8-10 years. Maturity: 2024-2034. Score - 93. (Audrey Frick, jebdunnuck.com, May 13, 2024)
Glorious Turkish Delight laced roses, delicate dried flowers, and a touch of red fruit on the nose. The palate is taut, lean, and sleek, yet with ample fruits and growing succulence. There are red cherry, liquorice, and dried sage complexities on the finish. Fleshy and very long. [Drink into late 2030s.] Score - 96. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2022)
Renowned for their sumptuous Barolo, the famed Marchesi di Barolo are no strangers to the many styles crafted in the Piedmont region. The light, brisk Cortese grape of Gavi is an excellent summer sipper, offering notes of Meyer lemon and honeydew, with a hint of almonds. A lovely accompaniment to pesto dishes.
