Sourced from a single, organically farmed hillside vineyard overlooking the Orcia River, this wine's name literally means 'windy hill.' Elegant, dark and distinctive, it's structured to evolve favourably through 2030 and beyond.
Col d'Orcia's flagship Brunello is made in a traditional style in the best sense, offering versatile, clear-fruited Sangiovese with the structure and brightness of fruit to give long drinking windows and good value. A tidy, bright, juicy Brunello with no sense of over-ripeness. Drinking window: 2021-2035. Score - 98. (Monty Waldin, decanter.com, May 8, 2021)
