From the cooler side of the valley. A delicious gleam to this pale colour. The nose is quite striking, if anything showing more potential than the Clos. A little more flesh but also a more muscular structure, compared to Clos, with a wealth of fruit behind and some clean fresh citrus mixing in at the finish. Drink from 2027-2034. Score - 94. (Jasper Morris, MW, insideburgundy.com, Feb. 2023)
Another organic premier cru in the Brocard lineup, Butteaux shows some baked apple characters and crystalline lemon fruit on the palate with good volume and length. Elegant and refined, this will keep very well. Drinking window: 2025-2030. Part of Premier Cru Chablis 2021: Top-Scoring Wines. Score - 93. (Andy Howard, MW, decanter.com, Nov. 28, 2022)
Mossiness accompanies pear and lemon notes on this wine's nose along with a lift of dried hayflower. The palate adds ripe roundness and intense, multidimensional creaminess that takes in yeast, smokiness and chalkiness alongside the intense lemon. Drink date: 2022-2040. Cellar Selection. Score - 94. (Anne Krebiehl, MW, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 31, 2020)
Slightly paler colour. Clean and clear cut. From vines lower down compared to Julien Brocard's bottling. Very easy approach, attractive from the start then shows more grip behind, with classically left bank white fruit and saline finish. Drink from 2025-2030. Score - 92. (Jasper Morris, MW, insideburgundy.com, Feb. 2023)
Ripe and poised nose of peach, citrus rind, hints of cream and oyster shell minerality. Classy palate with a touch of oak, long, dry and chalky finish. [Drink till 2026+.] Score - 96. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2021)
An aromatic Chablis with aromas of grapefruit, pineapple and lemons. Hint of sage. Medium-bodied, ripe yet fresh and saline, with a creamy and tasty finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now. Score - 91. (jamessuckling.com, July 24, 2024)
Petit Chablis is fruitier than other Chablis appellations. Yellow with green reflections. This Petit Chablis pours with aromas of fresh lime with passionfruit and grapefruit. The palate is crisp with citrus fruit and mineral notes retained throughout, finishing clean and fresh with good length. Ideal served with seafood.
