Made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in two of the oldest blocks on the winery's Maple Ranch Vineyard, this pink wine was whole-cluster pressed and forged in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Expect a nervy wine suggesting brambly berry fruit and rosebush and sip with charcuterie or a beetroot salad.
Spices and dried flowers, such as thistles, with a medium body and candied-watermelon and strawberry flavors. Tangy finish. Drink now [through 2027+]. Score - 91. (jamessuckling.com, Aug. 9, 2022)
Pinot Gris is Oregon's leading white variety, and the secret is out. High local demand is now facing competition from beyond the Pacific Northwest. This tropical, airy wine shows starfruit, melon, apple, pear and citrus. It's gorgeous. Best grab this while you can. [The Sunset International Wine Competition did not include a tasting note.] Score - 95. (Sunset International Wine Competition, 2022)
